S.T.U.F.F. Book Review, by Janie Johnson
I found the book S.T.U.F.F.: An autobiography by Jadie Lewis, informative, enlightening, funny, and full of history dating back to the 1960’s. I not only found this book fascinating, I would highly recommend it be made into a movie. This book would be a great read for the Millennial's and Generation X. They will learn how many African American Baby Boomers’ not only survived and thrived, but became successful by working hard and “pulling themselves up by their bootstraps” with little assistance. I laughed, cried, and was especially moved by Jadie Lewis honesty, frankness, perseverance, and vulnerability. Jadie persevered through a childhood filled with dysfunction, trauma, and disappointment. I can relate to much of her story, because not only was I also raised in the city of Oakland, specifically East Oakland, my parents also migrated from Louisiana, by train to Oakland, California. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who appreciates a great comeback, and heartwarming novel.

The beginning of the biography titled S.T.U.F.F. to the last page of the book was very enlightening as well as entertaining. The easy style of writing made the book enjoyable to read. The in depth honestly regarding her personal life and episodes led me on an adventure through memory lane from the 1960s through the 80s. While reading, I often smiled, laughed, became upset, and occasionally wiped tears from my eyes. My curiosity of what the next chapter of Jadie's life would unveil made it difficult for me to take a break from reading. Each character was bought to life. Eventually, I felt as though I was back in time, watching Jadie's life story unwind. I only wish the book had been longer. Hopefully all of Jadie's relatives, friends, colleagues and acquaintances will purchase a copy. They will be in for a treat. For those of you who do not know the author Jadie Lee Lewis, read this book to become acquainted with her. If you enjoy reading a great story and seek spiritual awakening, read S.T.U.F.F. Hi I read this book and I will assure you that if your looking for a book that will inspire you STOP !!!here & pls don’t look any further because this is the one it’s one of the best stories iv read not only is it a true story of this Great woman’s life And it won’t only keep you entertained by how the author speaks about real life events!!but it Will have you taking a better look at your own life and Recollection On memories you have as it has done for myself I want to say how much I appreciate that the author of this book has told it how it was in her days growing up as a child with curiosity She has more than most(her beautiful Innocent curiosity) as most children have at a young age in her unique own ways she’s able to detail everything to her recollection making me feel and see the story unfolding as if I was right there with her!! I love this book S.T.U.F.F it will always be apart of me now because you know they say each time you read a book a little bit of that book becomes apart of you she has so much inside please buy a copy and find out for yourself trust me it’s a great autobiography!!

S.T.U.F.F. is an amazing autobiography about Jadie Lewis who shared an insight about her life. She takes the reader through a series of timelines that allow us to experience her journey. Jadie also captivates her reader by sharing many mini stories that are funny, caring, thoughtful, powerful and inspirational. Definitely read S.T.U.F.F, you will not be disappointed!

S.T.U.F.F was a very detailed book about the life of Jadie Lewis from early childhood. Reading this book took me on a journey filled with laughter, tears, sadness and happy moments.
The stories throughout the book were both relatable and inspiring. Jadie didn't hold back! Her transparency was what truly added the spice to the book. Jadie has overcome so many things in her life.
This book will inspire young women from various backgrounds that are learning how to navigate through life. The adversities Jadie has faced and overcome is a true testimony to her faith and trust in Yahweh.
May you read this book and enjoy it as much as I did.

Hi Jadie,
I finished your book and it was a very good read to say the least. It was like no other that I have read and never a dull moment. It had so many qualities that I so admire and it went beyond gender with respect to relationship choices and owning up to the triumph and mistakes that come with life. If you never do anything wrong, you will never do anything right. Your love for your son was heart felt and beautiful, I was drawn to the fact that you started him out in the library. There was never a poor me I so respect and admire you for that, with every down, you saw an up. You have such a wealth of experience and that goes with a great mind, which you definitely have. Keeping Yahweh first is Peace, Joy and Righteousness in the Holy Spirit. Thank you my Sister for sharing such a great work.
